LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! THE YOUTH FILM PROJECT 2021 IS HERE
Aged between 14-24? Wanted to write and produce your own short film? Now’s your chance with the Youth Film Project 2021!
Damilola Youth (the Youth Board for the Damilola Taylor Trust) are launching a special programme offering 20 young people the opportunity to learn end-to-end filmmaking with industry experts using professional equipment. This free project will give you the chance to learn a broad range of filmmaking skills as well as develop your interpersonal skills and make new friends in the process.
This two-week programme will give you the chance to learn techniques such as scriptwriting, camera work and video editing through daily workshops. There are also prizes up for grabs including a GoPro HERO 7 and gift vouchers. All participants will also be presented with a certificate signed by Richard Taylor OBE.
The Youth Film Project 2021 will run during the Easter holidays from 6 April 2021 – 16 April 2021 between 09:00 – 15:00 (excluding weekends). Subject to COVID-19 restrictions, the programme will be a combination of both online and face-to-face sessions in Southwark.
How to apply?

Make a 90-second TikTok video highlighting any issues affecting young people in your area and tag @DamilolaYouth on TikTok and Instagram and use #DamilolaYouth.
Write between 200 – 400 words discussing any issues affecting young people in your area and email your entry to damilolayouth@gmail.com
Applications open at 17:00 on 8 March 2021 and close at 17:00 on 25 March 2021 and places will be awarded on a first come first served basis.
Please do not submit your application outside of these dates, it will not be considered!
