Babatunde Taylor (Chair)

Tunde Taylor has been a trustee of the Damilola Trust for many years. He is the son of Richard and Gloria Taylor and the brother of Damilola.

Tunde works in the city and is married with a young family.

Dr Eula Clarke

Dr Eula Clarke has recently joined the Trustees. She has a long-standing commitment to the Trust’s mission having been involved since 2005. Richard Taylor had identified her as a potential trustee before his death. With extensive banking and financial expertise, Eula brings valuable skills in fundraising, sponsorship, and governance. She has played a key role in organising major Trust events, including the inaugural Damilola Taylor Memorial Lecture and a 2023 House of Lords fundraising event. 

A passionate advocate for community engagement, leadership development, and diversity, Eula has held senior roles at Barclays Bank and has led initiatives empowering young people and underrepresented communities. Her strategic vision, collaborative leadership, and dedication make her an excellent addition to the Trust.

Dr Leroy Logan MBE

Dr Leroy Logan MBE has extensive experience in policing, youth advocacy and community engagement. 

As a former Metropolitan Police superintendent, a founding member and past Chair of the Black Police Association and a mentor, he has championed systemic change, diversity, and youth empowerment. His close relationship with Damilola Taylor’s family, governance experience, and commitment to tackling youth violence align with the Trust’s mission. 

His leadership in initiatives like VOYAGE Youth and the All-Party Parliamentary Commission on Youth Violence further demonstrate his dedication to creating safer communities and supporting young people’s development.

Dr Olugbenga Coker

Dr Olu Coker has been a Trustee for over 10 years and is treasurer of the Trust. He is an accountant working in the charity sector both in the UK and abroad.

Geoff Sheath

Geoff Sheath has been a Trustee for over 10 years. He was a teacher, working in primary schools, secondary modern, grammar and comprehensive as well as in the independant sector. He then became an advisiory teacher for mathematics/ editor with the Inner London Education Authority, writing and editing many publications for schools.

In the early 1980s Geoff became a research fellow researching the use of computers to enhance the teaching of the calculus. Following that he joined the University of Greenwich Department of Education where he became Head of Mathematics Education and also leader of the primary subject specialism in ICT. He led a research project for the Department of Education and Science into the maths content of GNVQ Health and Social Care. Geoff also contributed to an EU project to support the teaching of mathematics in further education colleges in South Africa.

He has been a governor and chair of governors of schools for more than 35 years and continues in retirement to volunteer to tutor underachieving Year 6 pupils.

Gary Trowsdale (interim CEO)

Gary Trowsdale has been appointed interim CEO of the Damilola Taylor Trust. Gary first met Richard and Gloria Taylor in 2004 and has since played a pivotal role in shaping the Trust’s mission. 

He previously served as Managing Director, leading initiatives like the Spirit of London Awards and the 2008 People’s March Against Knife Crime. 

As a co-founder of the Hope Collective, Gary has been instrumental in promoting youth-led solutions to poverty and inequality. His return ensures that Richard Taylor’s legacy of hope and opportunity for young people continues to thrive.

Chris Dusu

Chris has worked for the Trust for many years. He is an accountant by profession but has also been director of many of our projects.
