Babatunde Taylor (Chair)
Tunde Taylor has been a trustee of the Damilola Trust for many years. He is the son of Richard and Gloria Taylor and the brother of Damilola.
Tunde works in the city and is married with a young family.
Dr Eula Clarke
Dr Eula Clarke has recently joined the Trustees. She has a long-standing commitment to the Trust’s mission having been involved since 2005. Richard Taylor had identified her as a potential trustee before his death. With extensive banking and financial expertise, Eula brings valuable skills in fundraising, sponsorship, and governance. She has played a key role in organising major Trust events, including the inaugural Damilola Taylor Memorial Lecture and a 2023 House of Lords fundraising event.
A passionate advocate for community engagement, leadership development, and diversity, Eula has held senior roles at Barclays Bank and has led initiatives empowering young people and underrepresented communities. Her strategic vision, collaborative leadership, and dedication make her an excellent addition to the Trust.
Dr Leroy Logan MBE
Dr Leroy Logan MBE has extensive experience in policing, youth advocacy and community engagement.
As a former Metropolitan Police superintendent, a founding member and past Chair of the Black Police Association and a mentor, he has championed systemic change, diversity, and youth empowerment. His close relationship with Damilola Taylor’s family, governance experience, and commitment to tackling youth violence align with the Trust’s mission.
His leadership in initiatives like VOYAGE Youth and the All-Party Parliamentary Commission on Youth Violence further demonstrate his dedication to creating safer communities and supporting young people’s development.
Piumi Mitchell
We are delighted to welcome Piumi Mitchell as a trustee of the Damilola Taylor Trust. Piumi’s career has always been shaped by a strong sense of purpose – using her skills to create positive social change. As Head of Social Impact Partnerships at Deloitte UK, she works with businesses, communities, and young people to tackle issues such as digital inclusion and preparing the next generation for the future of work.
Her passion for youth empowerment is deeply personal. From setting up a not-for-profit preschool for children in Sri Lanka, to mentoring students in London, and serving as a school governor in Rotherhithe, Piumi has always been committed to giving children the best chance to thrive. A Chartered Accountant by training, she combines her professional expertise with empathy, vision, and energy. She is excited to bring these experiences to the Trust, supporting our mission to inspire and empower young people.
