Make the Change

December 1, 2020 by Richard Taylor in Youth Programme

Are you aged between 17-30 years old? Have you been badly affected by COVID-19 restrictions? Are you keen to make a change? If so, we want to hear from you!

As part of the ‘I am Change’ programme, the Damilola Taylor Trust is looking for young people who have been badly affected by the COVID-19 crisis and want to take control of their lives for the better.

This free online programme will help you to find out what you are really capable of and equip you with the skills to pursue your dreams. Over the course of 12 weeks, you will learn how to stand out from the crowd through workshops, training and mentoring. You will build your confidence, improve your resilience and learn mindfulness. You will also develop your digital skills and undertake employability training with organisations including Microsoft and LinkedIn.

The ‘I Am Change’ programme is open to all young people aged 17-30 years old who have been adversely affected by COVID-19. However, we are particularly keen to hear from those living in the South London Boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth and Croydon.

‘I Am Change’ is run in partnership with 2020 Change thanks to the Government and funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund.

If you are interested in making a change, take the first step and apply now by clicking on the link below:

  • Complete the ‘I Am Change’ application form

Please note that the deadline for applications is Thursday 14 January 2021. However, interviews will be held on a rolling basis as we receive applications so make sure you don’t miss out!

To find out what other young people have to say about ‘I Am Change’, please visit our YouTube channel.
