Launched on 7 December 2018, the Damilola Taylor Memorial Lecture was an annual advocacy activity designed to keep the issue of youth violence and its destructive impact on the life chances of youths high on the public agenda.

Previous themes included ‘Violent London a New Way Forward’ with keynote speaker Karyn McCluskey, the founder of the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit. Other distinguished speakers included Dame Cressida Dick DBE QPM, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service and members of the BAME community who have succeeded in their careers despite coming from disadvantaged backgrounds.

To mark the 20th anniversary of Damilola’s death, the Damilola Taylor Memorial Lecture was relaunched as the Hope Legacy Campaign. To find out more, please click on the button below.
