Career Search and Skills Development 2019

The Programme
The Damilola Taylor Trust’s Career Search and Skills Development Programme helps young people with little work experience acquire skills to help them make the transition to stable and satisfying employment.
It is free to attend and runs from September to December 2019.

The programme is sponsored by The Co-op.
Our delivery partner is HUDL
We are in partnership with St Patrick’s

Target audience
This programme is for young people aged 17-24 from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

Objectives
The three-month CSSD programme uses innovative learning tools. Participants take part in professional development days and support each other to overcome challenges and barriers through Action Learning Sets.

Outcomes
By end of the programme, participants will have improved their skills in
Communication, Job search, Being interviewed (including presentation) and CV writing.
Those interested in Retail or Logistics careers will have the opportunity to apply to join the apprenticeship programme of the project sponsor The Co-op.
